Why Do Decorators where White ?

Can anyone tell me why professional decorators wear white ?

How do they manage to keep them clean and free from paint ?

This is all complete guesswork, (but might be more accurate than Alan M :D ). I suggest it is a combination of tradition and practicality from years back. I suggest that they had to boil wash their overalls to get them clean therefore there was no point in dyeing them. They also would not want any dye in their clothing getting on to or in to their paint. Just a theory.

That's why they are professionals and don't get it all over the place like DIYers do :rotfl:

You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

I should imagine for a similar reason to chefs. Because you can see the dirt on them. If they wore black, and got some paint onto them that they then couldn't see they'd get it everywhere. If the overalls are white and they get paint on them then you can see it....

To keep them clean, boil wash and bleach! Worked wonders with chef whites covered in bolognese sauce!!!! I never was a clean cook - and I'll post this now as I clearly forgot to earlier.....
