More Than Insurance Nightmare

On 25th August I renewed my car insurance online with More Than and paid for it as a whole. Money has gone out of my account and it says more than on the statement. Had my confirmation email and was awaiting my policy being sent to me by post.
Needed to renew my car tax so tried to do that but they said they had no record of any insurance for me.
Several pointless phonecalls to India later it transpires that they have no record of my policy either. They have cut me off the line 3 times, promised to ring me back within the hour twice and never have and all this time I have a car that I can't use.
Anyone got any good advice as to who to contact as I feel pretty helpless

With regards to getting in touch with someone at morethan I cant help you. One thing you do however is cancel your policy and set it up with someone else.
If you have your certificate you could get it taxed in the post office.
Service levels at some of the big insurers is awful, espcially when the calls are outsourced to a foreign country.
