lg washing machine - medic rinse?

I recently bought an lg washing machine which has a medic rinse feature. The instruction manual is very basic
and all it says about the medic rinse is "for best results or for cleaner rinsing". The machine has a normal rinse, a rinse+ and a rinse++ so I'm a bit puzzled as to what the "medic rinse" actually is/does. Does anyone know?
No jokes please about little men in white coats inside my machine

It's just an extra rinse which removes more traces of detergent etc for those with allergies, sensitive skin or other medical conditions0

Actually, it's not quite that. As we just found out. It's just an extra rinse which removes more traces of detergent etc for those with allergies, sensitive skin or other medical conditions
Short story: It's a HOT rinse, and it'll DOUBLE the overall cost of the wash.
Long story: LG unHelpLine didn't know what it was when we asked months ago.
We used it randomly, thinking, as the manual said (in badly translated English) that it "provided extra rinse for purity". We always set the washing machine to run on cheap rate overnight. It was only when we did a "day" wash, so took the washing out immediately, that it was steaming hot! That got my brain thinking, and I stuck my LIDL power monitor on, and the cycle (day rate) with medic rinse cost 28p rather than the normal 16p.
Not going to break the bank, but a hot rinse sounds a pointless idea that'll cost you an extra £18 or so a year doing 3 washes a week.
I now see that the LG spec site now mentions this, and I also found mention of it here: http://dev.yurtesen.com/content/view/32/42/
Also something I didn't know:It is possible to enter the programming menu for the remote laundry monitor by pressing intensive and medic rinse buttons. The home code clear text will appear. however european models of this machine does not have the remote laundry monitor modem so this doesnt do much. It is as well possible to enter to diagnostics mode by pressing steam wash and temp buttons when the machine is closed and press power button, then release all. One can then go through diagnostic actions by pressing the play button. I cant be responsible if you break your machine while playing with this, please use on your own risk.0
