Does anyone else really miss their bump?

I was lieing in bed last night after putting babs down to sleep the other three were already tucked up and fast asleep and from instinct i reached for my belly and gave it a rub, I do it quite alot and i suddenly thought to myself "i really miss my bump" and got quite sad at the thought that i will never have that feeling of another life growing inside me again.

It seems really daft especially when you spend the last few weeks of pregnancy thinking " god get this baby out of me now!" and the fact i love my mommy cuddles with all my kids.

Just wondered if anyone else felt the same way?

  • I feel the same xmaslolly. I gave birth to DD3 in April and she's my last baby. OH has agreed to a vasectomy but I've been putting off making the appointment because then it means my childbearing days are definitely over. It makes me sad. :(

I felt exactly the same after dd1, I used to still walk round things as if my bump was there, I loved every minute of my pregnancy the first time round and even though I loved having my baby in my arms, I still missed being pregnant. I didn't have a very fun pregnancy this time round, but to a lesser extent still miss my bump. My tummy feels redundant :)
  • I loved my twinie bump... I flew through pregnancy and specially miss the baby hic cups

Nope! I did like my bump a lot and spent ages gazing at it moving about, but don't miss the discomfort. I can walk properly again, sleep on my back, and reach my feet again to name but a few things I couldn't do. I prefer having bubs.

  • I miss my bump so much (my youngest is 21 months). You can still catch me occasionally pushing my belly out and rubbing it when noones looking! But then I always loved being pregnant and never wanted it to end...

Don't miss my bump but even though DS (youngest of three) is now 14 I do still find myself 'rocking' a shopping trolley back and forth in a queue :rotfl::rotfl:
