Help Find Me a Decent Online Site for Houseplants

I've been having trouble finding a decent range of houseplants in the garden centres as it isn't one of their big priorities amongst all the stupid homeware stuff they sell. I have amassed about 15 different kinds but I would prefer something that is more unusual. The windowsill and table tops in north and east rooms are the only sites i have, so no conservatory plants can be recommend, I'm afraid.
Can anyone help? I've done with Google, so I really don't know where to look. I hear there are some nice fragrant ones out there, but I can imagine these would be tricky to bloom with my conditions (I have tried unsuccessfully with Gardenia, Stephan......(sp?) and Jasmine to rebloom)

Basic online site is Dibbies
http://www.dobbies.com/?affiliatenetwork=POR
But perhaps a regional site is better for the safe delivery of plants?
I stick to Orchids as i am a bit basic, but there is a good Bloom to effort ration woo hoo.Marry a Foreigner, its so much cheaper!0 -
As I don't have a car, I am limited to where I could travel. I have been to my local nearest garden centres, but they're not v well stocked, I'm afraid. Looked on the Dobies site, and it's surprising to know that they've got the basics in for houseplants, but I'd like something a lot more unusual. Orchids for me aren't that great. I've managed to save one from dying (using orchid feed, and watering sparingly) but no new shoots yet. Amaryllis bulbs are doing ok too, and hoping they'll rebloom later in the wintertime for me.
anyone else help?0 -

Check the "indoor" section. I have used them occasionally over the year. They have always supplied decent plants and do keep some unusual varieties.0 -
OP what plants are you after...examples might help.
I'd try cuttings from friends...true money saving!0 -

What you want is a nursery; but I'm struggling to think of any in Notts that you can get to without a car.
Why don't you research house plants that suit your conditions, then find an online supplier rather than look for a supplier first? If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
thanks for your replies peeps.. i've checked out bakker and dibley's and they certainly have a couple of plants that have given me ideas to think about buying or to buy seed for...
one of the plants i have that i have is a Staghorn Fern - Platycerium bifurcatum which i bought from a garden centre in leics (woodlands) for a fiver (tho' they had bigger ones for £25) and i had been looking for this plant for a couple of yrs, but never knew the name of it.. I do have a couple of houseplant books, and there are some I'd like but I'd rather find them in the flesh.0
