yes as long as you have a HDMI output on your computer then that is fine. If you have a DVI output you can get adapters to convert it to HDMI. These shouldn't be too expensive, maybe £5 or so.

So it work as a normal monitor with just the HDMI output, that`s pretty amazing. Thanks James.

yep, they work to the same technical standard provided you have either a DVI or HDMI output on your PC graphics card.

a DVI to HDMI cable or adapter will cost you £3 to £5 typically.

you should set your PC to an appropriate resolution to match the TV for 'optimum' performance (eg 1920x1080) for a 'Full HD' TV.

If you don't have a digital output you'll need a new graphics card, check whichever one you buy is capable of delivering the resolution to match your TV (most modern ones will).

-If you're really strapped for cash and only do very basic emailing/web surfing you could probably picck up a very basic/underpowered one for £20 (not really recommended).

-For future proofing you might want to get a graphics card that meets the spec for playing Blu-ray disks etc (might be closer to £50+) see here:

For gaming (demanding 3D stuff) get the best one you can afford :)
