Quote for new boiler in loft

I've had a few quotes to upgrade the central heating system of a 3 bed house I am in the process of purchasing. The work is:

- remove existing gas boiler from the kitchen
- remove the hot water tank and cold water tank
- remove all redundant piping and furniture
- supply and install a Vaillant ecotec plus 837 condensing combi-boiler in the loft, along with flue
- supply and a wireless programmable timer/thermostat
- supply and install and an inline magnetic device fitted to the pipework to keep the system clean.
- supply and install all necessary pipework

I've had quotes for £2400, £2900 and £3400, the last quote is ex. VAT and the first two aren't VAT registered. Obviously I'd like to get the work done as cheaply as possible but the two most expensive quotes are from companies recommended to me, whereas the cheapest quote is from a local installer I found myself using Google.

Do the most expensive and the cheapest seem reasonable? I've been told it's two day's work for two people.

Cheers

Johno
