Uswitch and £70 Scottish Power cashback
Just wondered if anyone else had gone to uswitch using the link from this site and seen any reference to the £70 cashback for scottish power please?
I know this is for today only and would like to do the switch but if there's no reference made to the £70 using the link it won't be certain if I get the £70 or not.
Thank you

I used the link from Martin's site to get the free case of wine. This was nearly four months ago and I had heard nothing from Uswitch, so I emailed them and two days later, £70 appeared in my bank account. There was no mention of this cashback offer when I first applied. I was looking forward to the case of wine before Christmas, but hey, not grumbling at £70 instead!!0

Hi LadyBetty, and welcome to MSE :hello:
If you are still having trouble getting your free case of wine from uSwitch, have you seen these sticky threads?

If there is a £70 upped-offer from uswitch then chances are there will be double that (almost) available from a cashback site for the exact same tariffs. Check cashback sites as well, not just comparison sites.0

I switched to Scottish Power via USwitch in July, with the £70 cash back offer and haven't heard anything about it yet.
I spoke to someone at Scottish Power who told me this was a USwitch offer so to contact them, I emailed them in August at the customer services address and haven't heard a thing. I've sent another email today.
Has anyone got their £70 yet?0

My daughter switched in August, still wating for £70 cashback waiting to hear back from Scottish Power. U switch say they can only give cashback if Scottish Power supply details. We will see what happens.:(0

Well it took some persistence to get them to reply to my emails, but I finally got a reply today - this is what they said:Re: Cash back
Thank you for contacting uSwitch.com with your enquiry.
Thank you for using uSwitch to switch your energy provider. I can confirm that you will receive your cash back in to your bank account from uSwitch once Scottish Power have confirmed that they have been supplying you with your gas and electricity for approximately 12 weeks. It will be paid in two payment sets under uSwitch Ltd. Please keep an eye out on your bank statements.
I'm 12 weeks from my initial supply date now, so I'll be keeping a careful eye on my bank statement this month.0

Top Cashback is currently offering £62 for a dual-fuel switch - this was upped fairly recently. If there is a £70 upped-offer from uswitch then chances are there will be double that (almost) available from a cashback site for the exact same tariffs. Check cashback sites as well, not just comparison sites.0

Thanks, Pennychu - I was checking to see how I would get my cashback from uswitch (having switched recentlyish using the mse link to Scottish Power). I had my e-mail referring to wine - but nothing about the cashback - Uswitch don't have my bank a/c details, so wondered how they could give me cashback. Am assuming they get them from Scottish Power. I also await the 3 month or so mark...0
