When will gas price increases be announced?
I was on EDF energy online v5 tariff and from 1 August the prices have changed and are now the standard price charges.
The new prices are quite a jump from what I was used to paying.
I would like to move from this tariff asap but most of the other tariffs come with a penalty clause.
Am I better to move after seeing what the new gas prices will be (not sure when these will be known) or do I just move now to a different tariff and just hope the increases are about the same as everyone elses. I'm thinking of moving onto Eon save online v3 where the penalty clause is only £30, just worried if I do that knowing me just after I change to them, they'll announce bigger price increases than the other energy providers.
Thanks

Nobody knows the answer to your question!!
Frankly I wouldn't be too concerned about the penalty clauses. If you switch to a cheaper tariff with such a penalty, the cashback will normally be more than that penalty.0 -
Cardew do you work for a energy utility or own shares?0
