custom made wedding dress china?

  • I ordered my wedding dress on ebay (now divorced) it was absolutely beautiful - a bit too big but i would rather that than being too small, was a really unusual design too but beautiful. Mines was £17 + £39 p&p so an absolute bargain.

I would not hesitate to order any dress from China again. I may just get married a few more time for the pretty dresses lol.

I got mine from China for £90 delivered, it was very simple but wonderfully made and just the fabric alone would have cost about triple that here (a similar dress was £980 in a shop ).

If you've fallen in love with a designer original though be aware that for copyright reasons the embroidery and such are different on the no-name dresses, and some people have been disappointed that it isn't an exact copy. Caveat emptor and so on - but mine was gorgeous and I would highly recommend them.

I hope this isn't too big, but it's a real live dress from China and it's currently hanging in my wardrobe.

It cleaned really nicely too, not a grass stain to be seen.

ditto on Sugar's experience. I also got a China dress which fitted better than anything from a shop would (as I took all my own measurements and it was made using those). It was a "knock off" as in based off a designer version that I was in love with at the time. Of course it wasn't identical - I wasn't expecting it to be! But for £100 it was 10 million times better than ANYTHING I could have ever hope to buy for that price over here. I was 100% satisfied with it and it arrived well within the time frame quoted.

Just go for one with lots of positive feedback and you'll be fine! :) And don't expect the moon and stars...it's good value but of course at the end of the day, a knock off will still be just that.
