its just another stalling tactic from HBOS..been there ,done that now with FOSHBOS charges..£7000.00 recieved.
Egg cc..£1300 recieved.
Barclaycard cc..£ 568 recieved.
A&L loan..£1677 recieved..HBOS cc..£3500. HBOS.. loan £919.HBOS.cc charges. £1400 MPPI £21799 recieved0 -
HBOS are a pain, go straight to FOS. I wasted a good 6 months on my loan's PPI with HBOS and their stalling tactics (lost first letter during a move amongst other things).Rich0

I would think they would separate the complaints with regards to the loan and mortgage. Its likely to be two transactions at different times. They dont have to but it would be logical to treat them individually. Although it should be fairly simple for them to reject the MPPI.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I wouldn't do that if I were you. If you haven't claimed first from the bank who sold the PPI then the FOS won't accept your complaint.
I know it's a pain but you can imagine that the banks are snowed under with claims at the moment and don't forget the FOS takes quite some time anyway so this isn't going to be quick.

not outcome i hoped for
they saying the mppi was sold to me by the broker so they are having nothing to do with it
then she says i have looked at the ppi on yer secured loan it was only 6 pounds a month and she then said so i have decided it wasnt mis sold
i amlike it was 10 years ago she probably never worked there lol
what now please!!!!

Hiya
Was this the final response?
If not write to them until you receive the final outcome, and if they still don't resolve, you may be able to complain to the FOS.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

That is the correct response. They are only liable for the advice they give. Not the advice of others.
You need to approach the broker with your reasons why you think it was missold. However, MPPI is deemed correctly set up when its paid monthly and you are eligible and have a financial need. So, what would your reason for missale be?
The compliance company I use are automatically rejecting all MPPI complaints when they are monthly, eligible and have a financial need.then she says i have looked at the ppi on yer secured loan it was only 6 pounds a month and she then said so i have decided it wasnt mis sold

What proof do you have it was missold?
To be honest, I suspect that your MPPI complaint has damaged your loan PPI complaint. Especially if you used a template letter than made a number of claims as to why you were mis-sold with you personalising it enough. The fact they didnt sell it but you complained about them selling it shows you are unreliable at best or opportunistic at worst. So, if a balance of probability decision needs to be made (in cases where you have no proof to back up your claims), they look at the credibility of what you are saying. The MPPI complaint would work against you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
