Aldi/Medion External Lightscribe DVD Rewriter!

Hi - does anyone know what model of DVD rewriter this have and what the specs are?? There seems to be a distinct lack of info about it;all I could gleam is that it could be a Liteon or Sony Lightscribe model(?)

I've seen a post elsewhere from someone who says theirs is listed as a Sony in device manager.

My local DVD shop did not rate the lightscribe drives much as they said that the graphics are only basic black and white pictures or writing that can be put onto the discs and they work out around £1 each and it takes approx 30 minutes to burn an picture / image onto the surface

I was told to stick with printable media as it is alot better

Don't know how much is true but it put me off lightscribe drives for the moment

Mine comes up as Sony DVD RW. DW-G124A USB Drive. It is a Lightscribe but i don't bother using that as you need special discs. On Google there are various reports.Got it from Aldi.£39.99 3yr.guarantee.
