How to Report Relative to Police for Drink Driving

I have a relative who is an alcoholic (won't admit it). He regularly drives to visit extended family members (and stays the weekend), returning home on a Monday morning. He drinks the whole time he is there .... from having whisky for breakfast, lunch and dinner, whisky in his cups of tea then drinks beer down the pub every night.
He returns home early-ish on a Monday morning so drink is no doubt still in his system (I wouldn't be surprised if he has a whisky on the morning he drives back).
I would like to report him anonymously to the Police but unsure how to/who to report it to. I'm unsure what car he drives but know where it is parked (it can only be one or two) and I know his full name/address so the Police could easily ascertain which car it is. Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks.

If you can't face going into local police station then drop a letter through their letter box telling them as much as possible.0

before you go the the police perhaps you could let him no ( anonymously or otherwise )
that if he continues to drink drive he will be reported to the police ,and if caught he WILL loose his licence .Give him a chance to realise what WILL happen .If he continues to drink drive then its his loss .0 -
Please report him as soon as possible, you can do this anonymously by writing or phoning, all you need to give is his name and address then it is up to the police. You could alternatively try calling crimestoppers
Just think about how guilty you will feel if he does kill or seriously injure someone. All credit is due to you for your social conscience, I just wish more people had one0 -
you can report crimes annonymously at crimestoppers:

he might not only kill others but himself as well.what u fill then?
tell like ginger said andalso call crimestoppers.are you thinking what iam thinking :T0 -
Thanks for all your replies. I don't really have much contact with this relative (not fallen out or anything, that's just the way it is) so it would be odd for me to go round and say something. I think I'll just ring Crimestoppers.

I've got same problem with a friend who drinks all evening every evening and then drives hers and somebody elses kids to school every day.
Unfortunately she thinks her drinking is funny & normal and even said to me "you won't remember x as you were drunk (I seldom drink more than one glass of wine and never drink when driving, which I usually am)"
She is also a Doctor so in my view should know better.0 -
I agree with Ginger_nuts. Try the telling them option first.
Then wait until they set out, and call 999. They really need to catch him red handed with blood full of alcohol to do anything, and if he is an immediate danger to the public (i.e. you know he is currently on the roads, loaded) then they have to act. The urgency isn't their with a pre-emptive call...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -

please report her immediately , you are not doing her any favours by protecting HER , when it's the children , other road users and pedestrians who need protecting.

Sorry drfluffy i disagree with you , why wait , what if in the intervening time , the worst was to happen ........ how would you feel , knowing that you could maybe have prevented it !
even if the police do not catch them with "blood full of alcohol" maybe just being pulled over for suspected drinnk driving would be enough for them to change their outlook"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
