Are you running both avast and norton?

Also you have many toolbars which can be uninstalled and may help.

    O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe
is apparently not good so will advise running malwarebytes: (written by alienRIK):

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
  • I use avast but the computer was given to me with Norton GoBack on it.
Also the computers main Administrator account is locked (password protected) and un usable - Brother in law forgot the password. We managed to creat ea secondary administrator account but if anyone knows a way to get into and delete the files on the original I'd appreciate it! I dont know if this is related to the slow running though as I dont know how many files are on there

    Use the NORTON REMOVAL TOOL
    http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=4749&file=9&evp=242a1882161556089131482b8e4a8e42

If you believe malwarebytes is going to take more than 2 hours, stop it, update and run a QUICK scan first

you'll also need UBCD4Win or similar to get those forgotten passwords..then you can delete all the other user accounts and just have one, with admin rights of course ;)

or a clean install if practical to do so...

p.s I hate user accounts, pain in the bum :(
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

You never followed instructions and UPDATED first. Your database is pretty old and so is pretty useless

UPDATE malwarebytes (Current database is 4527) and run a QUICK scan

  • Sorry have updated now; didnt realise how out of date my version was - my apologies.

I will have to run the scan later as I'm off to work - and I know my husband wont bother!

I have re done hijack this after fixing the indicated bits and removing NortonGoBack; the new results are below.

Thank you for helping; you're a star x
