going from a joint to a single claim in child tax credits

hiya im just looking for a bit of advice

i have had to go from a joint claim to a single claim in regards to the child tax credit. i done the new claim over the phone and the bloke i spoke to said it would take 3 weeks..it has now been three weeks

what is the "normal" waiting time for a claim like this to be processed

The "normal" time is 3 weeks, occasionally it can take longer. Have you called them to check if what the hold up is?

3 weeks once claim has been recived onto system. thats if dont need further info, can take longer if info needed

hiya thanks for the replies i was on hold while i posted this question

any ways after 20 calls to them i finally got through to be told its waitin on the system to be awarded and they dont know how long it will take to be processed

its just annoyin when they cant tell you what the hold up is
