Rolled over onto new prices

I have had several fixed term contracts, but each time the contract was coming to an end I was contacted by the supplier and told what price my electricity would rise to and was able to negociate a new rate.
When my fixed term electricity contract ended with Btitish Gas recently I had no such contact and I was rolled over onto new prices which increased by 63% and have since been told I must remain on these prices for 12 months.
Has anyone had a similar experience and did they manage to get anything done about it and if so how?
Please note I am classed as a micro business, as I am a ltd company even though in effect it is just myself who works for that company.

Hi BEINGRIPPEDOFF - The "Let's screw a small business scam" rolls on.
You did not get the Contract End reminder letter, but as the law presently stands if a letter is posted it is deemed to have been recieved - In the days before Ofgem took a small and rather ineffective interest last January, this site was full of postings where customers were complaining they had not recieved the Contract, never mind a letter - which of course the suppliers always swore had been sent
Take a carefull look at the form of address BG used on the correspondance you have had, as one poster got away clean when it was shown that BG had not used the exact post code
The only other way out so far as I'm aware, is to change the legal identity of the company so BG are left holding a contract with a Co. that does not consume power or gas - but you will need a legal eagle to do this so there is absolutely no link between the Old and the New
Good Luck0
