Help Needed - Timeshare Query

Hi, I bought into a timeshare back in 2007, and now would like to sell it.
This costs me a whopping £20k, for which i had to obtain a loan with a very high interest rate, which i believed i could pay off quickly, not forseeing the credit crunch and cost cuts I have since had to make.
I contacted a company recommended by the time share people, with any queries. They offered me £3k returnable cash after all fees have been deducted. The man was not very helpful and compared my time share to the purchase of a washining machine!!?? i think not.
I desperately need advice with this matter, to either help me make the time share work for me financially or how i can get a better deal on my return.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks

To be honest, £3K resale is maybe about right. Between 10p and15p in the £ is about the going rate for many 2nd hand timeshare/ point clubs etc.
If you really want to sell it, ie to offload the burden of management fees, then I highly recommend http://www.timeshare-hypermarket.com/
I have used them for both buying and selling timeshares. If you look at their resale lists, then you may get an idea what other similar weeks are being offered at.
Alternative, if it really is a prime property, then you can maybe rent your week(s) out0
