Ocado 20% off - is it worth it?

I get emails offering 20% off for £75+ spend - is it worth it or are Ocado so much dearer anyway that it's still more pricey than say Co-op? I could stock up on eg washing liquid, cereals, loo rolls but not sure if I'm being tempted to overspend...

I use mysupermarket.co.uk and find that Ocado often work out cheaper than the other 3 supermarkets for my shop (if they are not cheaper it is only a couple of £ difference). This is largely because I will purchase Waitrose own brand items where I would not use the own brands of the other 3 (I have tried all 3 other supermarkets and their own brands). That added to the outstanding customer service, I would say it was definately worth it. I tried them on the same offer a year a ago and have not used another supermarket since.0

thanks Mark, had forgotten my supermarket, checked out my trolley and definitely saved money, carefully kept it between £75 and 80 which gets you the max discount. Great to be able to see the comparative cost of same or similar stuff at other supermarkets, I was surprised. Maybe would have been cheaper at Morrisons but not that much cheaper, thanks again!:T0

I think these offers are well worthwhile. I always used to get offers for 15% off. I couldn't believe it was going to last, it was just too good to be true. But it did last, and now the discount seems to have gone up to 20%! I got a mountain of food delivered this week for £60. I think ocado may be doing this so they can keep telling their investors that their sales have gone up. That's alright by me!0

We started shopping with Ocado after we got a voucher for £30 of a £80 shop.It is alot cheaper than people think I buy alot of their homebrand stuff which is great. We normally use the 15% of voucher and get free delivery.Even when something goes wrong their customer service is great our last delivery was canceled because of problems with the warehouse they gave us £30 off and a bottle of wine.I would recommend them to anyone0

Hi,
I get it by email, I assume it's personal to me, I think I get it cos I used to use them quite a bit but haven't done lately, maybe worth starting and then stopping!0 -
Well hopefully any future slides in ocado's share price will be offset by the warm feeling that the shareholders get knowing the valuable community service that the company is providing.

I err....don't think that's how the world works love...
"well folks...a poor quarterly statement again, we've lost another £1.2million....but erm...the customers like us apparently..yay?.....ney:(."0 -
Sorry to hear about the poor quarterly statement.Ocado really does deserve to make a profit. It is an excellent company with lovely professional staff it is the only company I would use for home delivery. It's sad that unprofessional companys make loads of money while companys like Ocado make a loss.
Maybe it's because they are to generous with their customers not that I am complaining .
Joeyboy I hope the next quarterly statement is better0
