Why should I personally take the loss of a note palmed off to me?
If you disagree, fine. But don't give me lessons in morality.0 -
Like I said it was an observation based on your previous ramblings.if you are going to say things like that on a public forum then dont get all huffy when someone pulls you up on it.
Do you really think that passing on forged notes is moral?I dont and I suspect lots more would agree with me.Lots of course would happily do it but if you got one in your wage packet which was confiscated from you by a bank,I wonder what your reaction would be.
You dont have to answer that by the way.I think I know.garth;)0 -
Why ask advice then, if you know it all?
Don't get judgemental on me because you post for some advice for your 'friend'. You asked advice, I gave it honestly and you judge me. It's my personal opinion on what I'd do. I'm not forcing you to do/think anything.
The people who come to this forum to ask advice then slam the advice their given is unbelievable.
So here's a better option: If you don't actually want to hear opinions and different views - don't post. A better idea would be for you to become a preacher, nail yourself to a cross and die for our sins and immorality.

BTW Ian, friend my backside. Stick to cooking.0

If I was in the place of the lady who paid the deposit by credit card I think I'd want some proof that it was my daughter that paid with the fake note - not just take someones word for it. OP's friend could have found himself a nice little earner! Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

Ooh now you are being cynical
Id rather not friend your backside but thanks for the offergarth;)0 -
scottish note on the south coast small b&b, cmon, the owner knew who gave it, and did all in his power to try and get his money. i have taken a forgery before, i knew who did it but couldnt get any where getting my dosh. but i made sure all my friends in business knew that id got one and where from.
i also take £50's but only if i know you and i write your name on it in front of you, if i then have a problem it's easily recovered, either they give me my dosh or the police can deal with them. either way i dont care.

If I was paying cash and palming off dud notes I don't think I would write my real name for you!
i did say only if i knew you, and if i couldnt put your name on it i wouldnt accept it. only works when you know your client base of course.Div 1 Play Off Winners 2007
