Hi, I've booked a cheap caravan holiday in Whitstable for a week for 2 adults beginning on the 11th Sept. Can anyone help me to find the cheapest way to get into London for the day? Can we park nearer to the city, if so where, and get a train in? Or would it be better to just take the car in, pay conjestion fees and parking? Any help would be much appreciated.

Where are you coming from then if not london?one of the famous 50 -
The easiest would be to get the train from Whitstable. I'm in Faversham (just down the road) and if I go to London it's always on the train, I'd never bother driving to London as it's less than an hour on the train.
If you get a day travelcard that'll include the tube as well. You can get to St Pancras and London Victoria from Kent.0 -

The way I read it is that they are holidaying in Whitstable, and want to go to London for the day.
Getting the HS1 (High Speed) will be more expensive. Although it's a nicer train, and much cleaner.0 -

A one day off peak return on the train will cost you £21.60 per adult.
Thats without travelcard.
National Express coach can be done for £14.00 return for one adult.
You may well find there are cheap commuter type coaches too.
You did ask for the cheapest.0 -
A superoffpeak day return from Whitstable to Victoria is £18.10 - leave Whitstable after 10000
