Blue houseplant recommendations

Ok I know this may sound wierd but I'm looking for a plant for my bedroom.
  • If possible would like blue foilage or should I say bluely-green.
  • Would like it to be easy to care for.
  • Small to medium size no more than a foot tall
  • Definately no PINK at all
  • Easy to source in the uk
Thanks if you can help.

    Hi
does the area you would like to place it get sun at all? If so when? Any fresh air circulation? How much (and when) heat will it get (radiators near?)?

I have very low maintenance plants in bedrooms - ones that don't mind heat, lots of light, drought and neglect. I want to forget about them and let them do their own thing.

    Bluey grey ones include:

    Hedgehog Aloe

    Blue Echeveria

and I also grow Lavender plants indoors . I make sure that there is some lime in the compost and that it gets plenty of sun and very little water. I love the blue grey leaves and the fronds of blue flowers in summer. I pinch it back as soon as the new growth starts in spring, to keep it short and encourage lots of sideshoots bearing even more flowers. I stick it outside for a blast of fresh air at the height of summer.

Good luck in finding your blue plant.
  • A small radiator under window, A reasonable amount of sunlight but I wouldn't say direct as in it won't be on the windowsill. The plant will be placed on the unit adjacent to the window. I would say there will be free air circulationas I leave the window slightly ajar but on the lock.
  • Thank again Kay. I do like the blue echeveria but have blue lavender in the front and back garden and have discovered I'm allergic to it. Great to look at but when I was harvesting it, I had trouble breathing and skin was very irritated.

    So far houseplants as follows:

Bathroom : 2 small Aloe variegata (Partridge Breast)
Conservatory : Beaucarnea recurvata (Pony Tail Plant)

    Considering

Bedroom2 : either a few Lithops or a Desert Cacti anything that goes with neutral/natural beiges browns.
    Living room : Sansevieria
Hallway : Podocarpus Indoor Bonsai Tree or a palm (although might have to wait until next year has I have heard very expensive).
