Do you mind booking last minute? as i have a good idea as you don't want to go to thailand....
How about a last minute flight to Goa say 200 pounds then go to either:
Lakshadweep - Via Cochin (flight from Cochin)
Andaman's - Via Chennai (flight or boat from Chennai)
You could do either one in your price though it would mean trains and bus's to get around.
I only though of those as i am lucky enough to be flying to Goa on the 1st of December and i will be going to both of these places for diving
