Advice needed please. Son wants a home network, so a bit of research on ebuyer came up with this - Extra value 5 port ADSL/ADSL2/2+modem router, at a reasonable price. The reviews are good.
We are on AOL silver, would this unit work? (AOL recommend upgrading to gold or platinum for their networking kit, but I don't really want to pay any more than I do already.)
Any advice for a novice regarding a home network system would be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Shoki

Don't AOL give out free Netgear routers nowadays?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

What are the requirements?
Will the router be in the same room as the other machines?
Does it need to be wireless?
I dont use AOL, I assume you dont have to use their generic browser to get a connection.0 -
