Maybe one for the insurance board :eek: but applies to a car insurance claim so...

If a claim goes 50/50 and you opt for your car not to be repaired, do you still lose your no claims discount and what needs to be declared in future years?

The claim still affects your NCD (As the third party will be claiming 50% of their costs off you (via your insurer).

In future years you declare the claim as a 50/50 fault claim.
