Codemasters "Dance Factory" PS2

Just got this game for my daughters, but it will not work correctly with the "Hard Plastic" type PS2 dance mats they have. The "pad" configuration is completely wrong with up, down, left & right all over the place.

There are three different pad setups are available within the game but none of them will work.

All other dance games they have (Konami) work perfect.

Anybody else had an issue with this new game ?

Contacted both Sony and Codemasters, this game will most likely only work with the dancemat that Codemasters bundle with the game.

There is some kind of licensing issue regarding the other Konami dance games, which tend to work on nearly all dancemats. This game has had to be coded differently because of this.

So, if you have some nice "hard plastic" dancemats, chances are they will not work with this game.

Stick to Konami games, they seem better anyway.
