think i have made huge error

you took debt knowing you couldn't pay your other debt back

but you wanted to pay this because before they chased - this is favouring one creditor over an other

I would suggest that you go to the library or citizens advice and look at what can happen in sequestration - would it be seen as fraud or a temporary moment of insanity I don't know. But what I am saying is that if you have a chance to rectify it - I would do so. It may be that a BRU or equivalent is nothing important to to and it may not prevent you from doing things that do. In my case it would scupper albeit temporarily any business plans and opportunities.

You won't be the first person to have done this, but if you can mitigate it in any way and seek professional advice. Good luck.

Addendum: you know paying it off might be completely arbitrary if they then ask if you have any high value possessions because something of that nature might be seen as a disposable asset of the sequestration. If it is anything like the UK it could very well be seized.

We all make mistakes, most of us wouldn't be on this forum if we were perfect! Just think up a better story than the world cup lol. let us now what happens when you face the OR.
