Hi
I've been given an ipod nano (an early version) please can anyone tell me how to find tunes I've put on several playlists which are duplicated. Hope this makes sense. :o

Thank you

Cres

  • Sense - Not really (my thing), playlists are pointers to music on the iPod / iTunes library.
Your "old" iPod is not this new iPod there is a difference. It may want to wipe your new and reapply songs again, IYSWIM

It doesn't really make sense, but Itunes has one copy of each song in it's library - called 'Music'.

You can create countless playlists, each with any number or order of songs from the Music library. BUT, the playlist can only have songs from the library. There will only ever be one copy of the song in Itunes, in the Music library. What you see in the playlist is essentially a placeholder for that song in the library.

    Hopefully that makes sense!
