try ringing dell, my brother says they are pretty good to students. He's rings them up, haggles the price and tells them hes a student and they offer some things for free or give a discount, which tends to be more than what you could earn if you click via a site which offers you cashback eg, nectar, rpoints etc.

Otherwise look on ebay or somethings Argos are pretty good.

In your situation I would go for the ebuyer printer but there are other alternatives if money is your primary concern.

Freecycle is a good place to find free old computer equipment, if you can wait a couple of weeks and don’t mind getting an old inkjet you could probably get one free although you are expected to collect the item. There are a stupid amount of cheap inkjets around, make sure your family and friends know you are looking for one. Many people have two or three inkjets ad scanners because they get sucked in to having them with a new computer.

To save money you will need to refill the cartridges or find some cheap compatibles. Branded cartridges will cost you far more than the printer itself in the first year if you intend on using much, you can buy compatible ink in a bottle and refill with a syringe for ~£1-2 a go compatibles can be cheap online/eBay if you aren’t comfortable with that.

Of course you are looking for a laser printer but I would be careful as a student, the toner will lat a long time but be expensive to replace when it runs out, you may also have to wait for the replacement to be delivered. Personally I find it ok to use an inkjet for anything other than a final coursework printout, refilling your own cartridges is even cheaper than using a laser. I haven’t used this particular printer and it seems to have good reviews but I have found all the cheaper small laser printers I have had have all curled pages while printing.
