BRU and self employment

Hello again
Just a quickie - in the event that you get made redundant from gainful employment and decide to "freelance" simply to stay off the dole and try to keep things ticking over, how would that work if you are bankrupt and have been given a BRU.
I have a feeling I will get one because I "ignored" my tax issues for such a long time and haven't dealt with things well enough. I have screwed up and I haven't made payments and I ran away (except I am surprised that the council and Equita couldn't find me for 3 years considering I had informed them of my new address).
I am trying to figure out what my options are as there has been talk of redundancy, and as my manager hates me - who will be kicked out?
Something has got to give.
Thanks

The main things that would affect you with a BRU in self employment is that you can only trade in your own name, you cannot be a limited comany and the £500 credit restriction that would apply to materials on account and deposits from customersHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
So it would not prevent me from working - thanks0
