Not necessarily true, AXA settled my claim in cash even though I was fully expecting them to replace the items themselves. The loss adjuster said they prefer cash settlements.
But that was the decision of the Insurers. You didn't ask for it to be settled that way.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
Hm I have receipts for lots of the stolen items and was a genuine burglary( i mean nothing dodgy my side!) but you are right I supposeI have to be careful. I will just wait and see what they say.Thanks. all:T0
