Rogue Trader Jailed

And now for some good news. The notorious locksmith Mark Makowski, who has been featured on numerous consumer programmes, has finally got his just desserts. Today he was jailed for four years on 15 counts of fraud. About time to.

    Excellent news. This gives me some hope that some of the more despicable traders mentioned on here will do some jail time eventually.

    As a bonus, there will be a compensation/confiscation hearing, so he should come out of prison a lot worse off than he went in.

    Hopefully some of the complainants will get some money back.

    If it's under Proceeds of Crime then any future monies could be confiscated too - it doesn't stop with what he currently has.

    Of course he's not even a proper locksmith. He's just a guy with a drill who destroys perfectly good locks and substitutes them with over-priced inferior models.
