Cancel Sky Talk & Line rental

I have recently taken out my internet, tv and phone with sky, as i moved house and was under the imression that no fibre optic providers (BT infinity or Virgin) supplied to the area.

I have today found out that BT finity have started supplying to the area.

The problem i have is i need to cancel my SKY talk & line rental package with sky, which was only Activated today - and sky inform me as it activated today im tied in for twelve months, buy if i had phoned them yesaterday (prior to0 activation) i could have cancelled no problems.

Can anyone assist?

Unfortunate timing, but on what grounds do you think you can break the contract? Somewhere there has to be a cut-off point, and Sky have already incurred the install costs.
