Asbestos garage roof

Hi I have bee living in my house since april i rent it, since we moved in we have had nothing but trouble trying to get repairs done, when we moved in there was damp all on the walls and that only got done other month, I also mentioned to them after about a month that the garage roof was leaking in, the landlord got some lad that does odd jobs for them to 'come and fix it' didnt work it still pours in through all the wooden beams, i have been on to them just about every day and they always come out with different excuses, they havent got the money, the lad that does the roofing is busy which i know he isnt as i know him and have asked him, now they are saying that the garage roof is asbestos so they cant work on it.

The rain is pouring onto the boiler which im scared will make it blow or something and then id be waiting for months for hot water and heating and its leaking onto my tumble dryer which is in there.
Leaking onto partners bicycle and daughters bicycle and everything else i have in there in storage.

Where do i stand with all this Im in my tenancy agreement till april and at the minute i just feel i want to move out now

You can apply for Asbestos removals through Direct Gov if you haven't tried that yet?

Has an Energy Performance Certificate been provided? (Not directly related to safety, but if not provided, this might be why)

See what they say about such unsafe conditions.

You need to put all complaints and concerns into writing, so you have a paper trail if later you need to use it as evidence.
