It will be my mums birthday at the end of september and I would like to take her out for the day.
I have asked her if there's anywhere she would like to go, but didn't get much response except, not out for a meal.
She's in middling health, tires easily, can't walk far but I sometimes take her for a walk in a wheelchair
I'm not looking for specifics as it will need to be not too far from Lymington, but has anyone any general idea of the kind of things we could do?

Sorry, I don't live near you but where I live our local newspaper advertises coach trips to the local seaside, shopping centres, theatre trips to London or places of interest.

Thanks for ideas.
the hritage open days didn't have anything suitable for mum in her area - but i found some interesting stuff for me, in mine! (Reading school, Alfred Waterhouse)
Gardens or NT looks interesting...
I did wonder about a coach trip but I think she'd prefer we just went out together0 -
What are her interests? No good going to a garden if she hates gardening!
Does it have to be 'on the day'? Could you come up with a selection - show her leaflets, printed out website pages and ask her what she would like?
Personally I would love a theatre visit but that is me. She may listento the radio - maybe Radio 4? Would a trip to a live show (free tickets usually) that she likes be a really special treat even if it is in the future a bit?0 -
