Hi
Following on from my bad feedback post. I have had another request for a refund for damage - criticising packing. Most of my feedback says what wonderful packing - I really challenge someone to pack items within competitive costs that will never get damaged the way the royal mail treats them. Also another demand for a refund because an item has taken 6 weeks by surface mail to US and still isn't there. I recommend that they take airmail, but they don't want to pay for it.
I am feeling so fed up - like one thing after another. I do wonder if they are scared after my negative feedback, but I still have 99.9% on feedback of nearly 1600. I only have 2 negatives, both unfounded IMHO. How do people keep 100%.

If you sell, I'm not sure you can, to be honest. Sods law means you can not control everything in a sale - once you've posted something, it's out of your hands.
Personally I do not leave rep at all if I'm not 100% happy with the item, but am not sure if the fault lies with the seller or post-postage issues, or if I am fairly happy but the seller has clearly massarged the truth in their item description...
That said, someone I have not left rep for keeps sending me messages asking for rep, so I might just make an exception - it won't be good...
I guess it's easier if you only buy - just pay up ASAP and it's more difficult to go wrong...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -
I have 100% positive feedback with a rating of over 3000 and the only negative I got was from someone in the USA who asked for surface and then left a neg when he hadn't received after 6 weeks. I now put a comment on my listings that I do not offer surface mail and if they are unhappy with the airmail cost, please do not bid.
You can go back up to 100% with negatives, so don't be put off by a few problems, the majority of buyers are nice, friendly people. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

I've felt like you many times and also wonder if it's worth it sometimes.
However, I usually find that after a couple of moaning, whinging, negative happy, buyers along come a few who send the loveliest of emails thanking me for my great service and being really friendly. This redresses the balance and makes me feel good again.

By rep do you mean feedback?
If so and someone was hassling me for f/b I'd neg them and say "Heres the feedback you pestered me for".
Might make them think twice in the future. Also I'd remind them that feedback is optional, not compulsory.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I say you should not give up, you have 1600 feedback you should be proud. All you can do if items are getting damaged in the post is replace these items and claim for damages from royal mail. Regarding the surface mail, I don't give my buyers that option, I only use airmail and I & my buyers are happy with that.0 -
like charlies_mum says I will not send my overseas items surface mail as it leaves a seller too vulnerable for a chargeback. Buyers only have 45 days to chargeback and surface mail to the US often takes longer than that so many buyers will put in a protective claim just in case.
My postal options are airmail only, no negotiation, no hassle.

Airmail is worth using imo... I have lovely feedback from a US buyer who got her item within a week, and was chuffed to bits.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
