Vista problem for printer

Hi,
Ok not really comp literate so please be kind, thanks.
Have Epson D88 plus printer (realise it is old but ok for me0 when I go to install disc, comes up not compatible with this version of windows (vista).
How can I get printer installed please.

Hi there, try downloading the drivers from Epson's website (quite large @ 80mb download). When downloaded run it and you should be good to go!

This idea is a bit out there but do you need to install it?

The driver database in built in Vista is quite large.

The page I found was this one

Thanks for that, printer up and working.
One thing though when I click on icon on desktop (Epson easyphoto print,) it comes up with "Restart epson easy photoprint after installing the latest version of easyprint module"
Is this something else I need.

Hi Windows Vista and Windows 7 restart crashed programs. What would help is right click on the icon then click propities and then click compatiblity then click run as. The click disable visual,desktop, and high DPI then click ok.

Tried it and still the same. When click run as, in drop down box vista is not listed though.

Tried that also still no change.

Try all of the above then and run as admin too.
