Because someone wants to win so badly they just pretend they're a winner so others will congratulate them???

    Yeah I'm real cynical.

I really don't think anyone would bother!! Kind of ruins the feeling of getting congratulated when you realise oh... "I don't have a prize, I'm just a liar!"

I won on the Robinson's netbook one and my OH won the Lucozade iPhone & wouldn't bother lying if I hadn't!

Haha, well there's a lot of unhappiness in the world...

Yeah I know its rather an insane proposition but I kind of imagine if you're a hardcore 'comper' and you've spent a billion hours entering a gazillion competitions only to win nish, you have to do some pretty extreme mental things to carry on the resolve, the morale to want to continue in face of the horrendous odds, having to shake the ever more deafening inner voice that it is such a terrible waste of time.

I guess if I actually won something ever I wouldn't wonder such things as much :p

Also find it funny the phrase "well done" used when there isn't a way for it to have been badly done because it is an entirely random outcome [unless its a fix o'course ;););)]... heh-heh... of course I know its meant sort of semi-figuratively... good luck everyone

Thank you! Couldn't believe my luck!

Keep on trying - its all to do with luck (well, most comps are) but also persistence! To be honest mine is totally luck as I had a break from comping for a year, started doing it again and won two brilliant things in two weeks. I probably won't win for another 10 years now. ;)

    Thanks.

Its funny, when I figured out those codes, I thought wow, an edge... but since its become apparent which codes you input (probably) doesn't matter... initially the impression was created that the codes could only be entered by the same person once... I must say that does make the comp seem slightly sillier that you can just use the same code over and over, you'd think restricting it would cause a few people to buy a few more bottles of GlaxoSmithKline product... ah well, ho hum.
  • Thank you! Couldn't believe my luck!

You are welcome hun i have done these comps for 2 days and its driving me crazy lol xx
