Car Insurance renewal query

Its renewal time for me next week and not having had my renewal through from my insurer I phoned them this morning (been away for a week)

My renewal has come in at £732 (last year was £340) with £150 compulsary xs, £0 vol xs, protected NCD, legal expenses

I had an accident in Mar this year (my fault, no other involved, £2500) which I claimed on my policy but also was involved in another accident in my husbands car in Mar as well

This accident is still outstanding as the 3rd party is refusing to admit liability so our insurance companies are bouncing back and forth:mad:

What do I declare this one as?

Also having tried both moneysupermarket and comparethemarket websites - [STRIKE]1st central is coming out the cheapest (by about £100) - are they any good?[/STRIKE] (just seen the post on 1st central so will now be ignoring that quote) the next cheapest quote is £540 - the quotes are ranging from £490 to well over £1000

Unfortunately you will have to put down the second accident as at fault accident as well. You will be able to claim spome rebate if it is settled in your favour. Athough think some insurance companies do charge an admin fee.
I was in the same boat, with someone hitting my car, as this was right by renewal date I had to ring insurance companies asking what I was supposed to do (I also lost 3 years no claims bonus). As renewal from insurer was too high I moved insurers and after a couple of months was able to have no claims put back and a small rebate for change on accident.

Declare it as an as yet unresolved fault claim.
