Replacement Double Glazed Units

Hi,
I've got two front double glazed panes (approx 1150 x 1450mm) that need replacing due to cracks in them. Both require toughened glass supplied and fitted and I've been quoted £340 incl VAT by a local glazing company. Anybody know whether that sounds about right?

shop around. locally ive paid on average 40/60 quid each for the units. very simple job to replace em.Get some gorm.0

Agree with Ormus - seems dear.
I think each unit will only take 15mins or so if you're talking UPVC - £200 max charge in my opinion.
They are quite big & with toughened safety, £40/60 x 2 + Labour Costs = £80/100 + £100 labour? Best of luck0 -
Your quote's about a hundred quid cheaper than i'd price them, assuming that's inc vat, labour, guarantee and removal and disposal of old units. We're not the cheapest or the dearest in our area. So as the others said, if you're confident buy and fit them yourself, if not then it's like every other job, plumbing, electrics, mechanics, you got to pay the going rate. Get a couple of quotes and try and get recomendations.0

I would have thought the price wasnt far off
Otherwise as said before- measure your own maybe get the sizes or spacer mixed up/ maybe scratch or break the units in transport
maybe break the units instaling them/maybe break existing beading removing old unit or re fitting them
Smash the old units in loads of, bits cut yourself doing it,stuff it all in the wheely bin
As well as no chance whatsoever of buying the units for £40/£50
Where do some people get their prices from
Failing that I will do it for 2 carrots and a bag of crisps
times they are a changin:beer:0
