urgent insurance

my daughter has her car insured with company that has high street stores, has 1 year ncb.
recieved a letter last week that her renewal had been delined.
telephoned ins.comp...seems someone did wrong input to comp.computer system ,a minor accident by other driver has been repaired and paid for by his insurance a couple of month ago [ I think]
but on ins office is listed as her fault and unresolved.
the office admitted over the phone it was a mistake and to phone back this week to renew.
on telephone today was told that they need another 2 days to sort out, my daughter is annoyed and said that she might as well move to another comp. and was told it would be unadvisable as it would show up as unresolved claim against her so just hold on.
Problen...her insurance expires tomorrow and she needs car as living in the country off bus line with 1 1/2 year old daughter while partner works long hours away from home.
any advice appreciated as she is really worried over transport.

Get your daughter to call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor. Explain that the policy expires tomorrow and she cannot drive uninsured. Also check how she paid the premium as there may be automatic renewal attached and if they decide to offer renewal at an increased premium she may find this going out of her account.0
