One way flight from Australia!!

Sadly, my son has been unable to get sponsorship in Australia so has to return to the UK in December after two years over there.

The cheapest one way flight I can find is £700!

Any ideas how to get it cheaper? He's prepared to do multiple stops if necessary. He's in Brisbane.

That is pretty good for a one way fare. Don't suppose you have a lot of airmiles that you could use?

I always thought you could get there and back for £700!

    Haven't got many airmiles.

As dzug1 notes, you won't in December, or indeed much of the rest of the year. Also remember that you may pay close to a return fare for a single, as they are not economical to the airline.

  • Hi, you should be able to get a one-way flight for under £400 in december if you use airasia and split it from australia to kuala lumpur, and then kuala lumpur to london

    hope this helps

Air Asia is quite tight for seating room so if he's tall he might fancy a different airline
  • Unfortunately it is also much more expensive to buy a single flight from Australia. Our relatives find that they really get stung for a return from Brisbane originating from Brisbane/Australia. The same flight originating from the UK can be upwards of 30% cheaper sometimes.
  • i just had a quick look and you can get melbourne-K.L for £180 december 6th & K.L-London £180 december 7th

there may be a few extras, but it will still be less than £400

    hope this helps
