Get a proper card like a Sandisk Ultra II for just a few more quid HERE

Have a minimum sustained write speed of 9MB per second and a read speed of 10MB per second for £17.99 plus P+P.

There's too many of these cheap cards about claiming to be fast, but they are a false economy.

Uhmm that's a CompactFlash card, not a lot of use for devices using SD cards.

I got the 2gb card the other day and it works great in my digi camera.

i was just going to order this card now..but will wait for any feedback or views. i wanted to reasonable speed SD cards of 1GB but did not want tp pay more than £25 total if i can.

Most new digital cameras can use MMC plus cards which can be a lot faster than SD. might be worth a look. Valueflash will list all devices which can use these. http://www.valueflash.co.uk/mmc.htm

I've just bought a mymemory 2GB x133 card (As the 19.99 Amazon one got a bad review) and it's much faster than the 512Mb supposedly x133 mymemory one I bought a year or so ago.

On the 2GB card file transfer was pretty quick - reading a 360MB file off the card onto my laptop took 1 minute, writing it back again took 3 minutes.

i guess this just tells us mymemory isn't too sure what x133 means :D
  • I have just bought a canon ixus 850is digital camera and was looking on this thread for best prices to buy a 2 gb sd memory card and after reading this thread I am confused as I thought any 2gb sd card would do. So could you mse people please point me in the direction of a good card for my camera that is reasonably priced too.
    many thanks
