My freind is about to have a baby and take her maternaty leave but unsure if she is goin back to work, its her first child and lives in a 3 bedroomed rented house, can someone tell us what help she will get with rent, council tax, inconme support etc????????

She will be getting her maternity pay. Is she a single parent? If no then no she will not be entitled to income support once her maternity pay comes to an end. She will be entitled to housing benefit and council tax benefit depending on her and her partners income. Look up her LHA rate for a 2 bedroom house and thats the max they will pay depending on income0
