Hi all i am a first time buyer or will be in approx 6 months when i saved up a deposit, what i want to know is:
From what i can find out there is only one homebuy agent per area, in lancashire its a company called plumlife..........is that correct?
The scheme sounds like quite a good deal....... has anyone had dealings with the scheme that can confirm or deny this?
Should i apply now or wait until i have my deposit?
Thanks in advance peeps:D

homebuy is usually open to keyworkers only, are you a key worker? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

If your HA works anything like the ones I am familiar with, they will have places available excusively for KW and then then also places that any 'struggling FTB' could purchase.
Are you interested in new builds only, or are you considering resales ?0 -
Re-sales mainly, i believe you can buy one on the open market with homebuy http://www.plumlife.co.uk/Home-Buy.asp0

In the South East, the Homebuy scheme for key workers is currently suspended for new applicants until the 2nd October, when details of a new scheme is to be announced. Under the old scheme you could qualify for an interest free equity loan of up to 25% of the value of the house. Under the new scheme the proposal is that the equity loan will be in two parts - 12.5% interest free form the scheme and 12.5% interest payable, from one of scheme's approved mortgage suppliers - which puts the scheme out of the reach of many key workers:(Don't judge people on they way they look, the way they speak or what they're called because they can't help that.
Only judge people on what they say and what they do.0
