hi can any one help

my husband has worked for over 20 year has earn a good wage but over the last 3year his health has not been good and has been on dla for 2 years but just last week has had to claim ssp of £95 that is our only income apart from chikl benfit. carers allowance { i get for our disabled daughter}an some childrens tax credit can anyone tell me what i might be entitled to thanks

  • Potentially, Housing Benefit (for help with rent) and/or Council Tax Benefit. Contact your local council and ask for a claim form - make a note of the date / time / person you speak to. If you submit the claim within one month of asking for it, any entitlement to HB/CTB will normally take effect from the Monday after the date you first asked for a form. Depending on the reasons for delaying claiming, you *may* be entitled to backdating - this is subject to showing good cause for not claiming earlier and, obviously, entitlement.
