Mature student trying to get buildings/contents insurance -help needed!!

Hi folks,
I was just hoping that anybody better with cash than me might have some advice -I'm 26 and have a mortgage but have gone back to university to do a PhD so am now classed as a full-time student again. I've just come to renew my home (contents and buildings) insurance to find that nobody will insure me anymore! Even though I have 4 years no claims etc, the only insurance companies who will insure me now are really dubious looking ones I've never even heard of! Plus the premiums are sky high. I've been with More Than for 4 years but they don't seem to like my new occupation
Does anyone have any advice about a mature student-friendly insurer? I'm starting to panic as my insurance runs out really soon so I won't be covered!!
Thanks so much in advance for any help or advice...

Have you tried entering your occupation as a "Mature Student" as some Insurers offer this and it is often not loaded in the same way as a normal student0

What insurers have you had quotes from? Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they are dubious! Also as DA says - mature student not normal student.0
