CCleaner is entirely free and does a decent job of cleaning the Registry as well as the general system.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

What / which problems do you think are registry problems ?, macman's suggestion for ccleaner is a good yet benign general cleaner of the registry & other areas needing maintainance.
