Red Crosses On Verification Code

Hi

I'm trying to sign up to an e-mail account, but the verification code I need to type, is replaced by a red cross and has been for a few days.

Is there anything I can check to make sure, this is not something i've accidently done on my PC

you need to supply a little more information, varification code? do you mean a user name and password? have you configured the account eg pop.3
have you supplied an e mail name?

The bit where it says - "Type the characters you see in the picture", appears a red cross.

I can't click the bit where it will 'speak the letters' as PC has no sound, so need to be able to see the code

It sounds like you need to change a setting, on Opera it would be tools/preferences/images or if not that some setting on your firewall to enable you to see the image. Sorry not more specific!
