Another question on what to offer

Hi MSE people
Another question on your advice on what to go in and offer.
The house is lovely it's 4 bed detached. It's been on the market for a while now and is on the market for £199950 I've checked sold prices and it's hard to gauge because they are all over the place.
The vendors bought the house from plot for £93000 back in 1998.

They have no onward chain and are wanting to move across town. I have my house on the market so will be the only on in a chain.
Any advice would be grateful

you aren't in a position to offer anything really as you haven't sold yours yet.Wait until you have an offer then go in at 185k and go from there.0

no rules but . . .
I'd start with a number that I felt would give me an incredable bargain, perhaps the lowset comparative sale price of late - or any other way you fancy.
There is no such thing as an "insulting offer", only a "disappointed seller".
As long as you are polite and businesslike then any offer should (at least) start a conversation. You can then take it from there. Just be honest and straightforward but in search of a bargain. Good Luck, regards.0 -
Are you in a position to buy without selling your property? If not, then you aren't in a position to make any offer at all, even an asking price one.0
