Miserable buyer

I have just had a really mingy feedback from a buyer which says "seems ok - rather a small pot, but seems quite nice" which compared to the feedback from virtually all my buyers is really mean. Just to give you an idea, one i received was "Superb item, the best i have ever used. Leaves a beautiful shine with no residue" - this is typical of what i normally get (am i spoilt or what??)

I specify quite clearly in my listing how much is in the tub - like READ THE LISTING people!!

I ship within 24 hours unless over the weekend, and quite often on the same day if they send their order through a.m., and I have probably been spoilt by the very good f/b i have had :j from everyone who has bothered to send it!

Obviously my feathers are ruffled and i want to make a rude reply but are you guys going to advise me to sleep on it and look at all the good feedback i have :T and just say oh shucks she got out of bed the wrong side and let her get on with it?! maybe i should just decline to supply her when she comes back for her next tub? any way I certainly will not provide her with a positive feedback, in fact I think no feedback at all.!
what do you think??! I know one should never rush into a rude reply but i am tempted......

  • At least it was a positive feedback rating :)

I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with the feedback comment that the buyer left. Obviously it was their own fault for not reading how much was in the tub. Perhaps you could reply to the feedback left saying something like quantity is clearly stated in the auction, please read auctions more carefully next time.

Yep, sounds about right to me! I wouldn't bother leaving feedback or replying to hers. If it's really !!!!!! you off, you can block her as a buyer if you like, but I think that would be overreacting.

I had a buyer who left feedback for new sandals she'd bought from saying that they were great value and quality but a small size 4 - if she'd contacted me first I would have taken them back and refunded her, but I still left her nice positive feedback.
Take a deep breath and leave a short positive feedback.

While it's hardly gushing with praise.....it's a positive and they said it was nice...

It certainly doesn't merit you giving out a rude reply. If you want to decline to deal with the buyer and/ or not give any feedback ...fair enough.

Not everyone gives feedback in the same vein....I just sold a camera for £530 ....and while I got an e-mail from my buyer saying how pleased he was with it after he ran a couple of films through it ..he also pointed out he never leaves feedback......Big Deal...learn to live with it.

if i had known then what i know now
  • Personally think your being a little pedantic and overreacting lol
  • Hi
I wouldn't reply to the feedback underneath as it draws attention to it. You will get worse even if you are perfect. Buy some little things and the feedback will drop of the bottom of the page.

Feedback is personal. If the buyer wasn't overly impressed, but thought the product was ok, then who are you to argue? As far as the buyer is concerned that might be a fairly glowing report.

Also, with regards to beauty products etc, everyones skin is different. One persons 'fantastic, absorbs well' dream might be anothers 'oil-slick' nightmare...

  • Just put 'buyer paid'.

  • I dont personally see much wrong with it - why do you feel that she doesn't deserve a positive? did she take ages to pay? ignore your invoices? pay with foreign coins? not apparantly - so she doesn't go OTT with the f/b - not many do, I've had f/b saying "nice item" - she still got a positive - I'm sorry, but I don't see why you are thinking about not leaving her any at all either - she ob. wasnt OVER happy with her purchase, but she still left you a f/b, yet you feel as though you don't want to return it? I think you have taken this all to heart a bit and are over-reacting.
